STUDENT BEHAVIOR
Students are expected to comply with all school policies. Failure to do so may invalidate your eligibility for course credits.

CANCELLATION POLICY
You have the right to cancel your course registration for a full refund at any time and for any reason. If you finish a course and receive credit for it from TREC, it is presumed you were satisfied and no refund would be appropriate. If your payment is withheld, or unable to be processed, your course credit with TREC will be cancelled and/or withdrawn.

WHEN IS THE LATEST I CAN COMPLETE MY MCE?
TREC considers the deadline for license renewal and completion of continuing education requirements to be the last day of a licensees expiration month at or before midnight Central Standard Time. For example if your license expires 12/31/2009, you must complete all MCE courses on or before 11:59pm CST 12/31/2009. TREC rules won't allow you to get credit if you wait to sign up and complete a course on the last day of your expiration month (known as the 24-hour rule).

IDENTITY VERIFICATION REQUIREMENT
During your online course and online final exam, you will be asked random questions to verify your identity. The Texas Real Estate Commission insists on such a technique to insure the same person who starts the course is the same person who continues and completes the course.

If you miss two consecutive identity verification questions you will be denied access to your course and you will need to contact our school.

During the Final Examination: additional identity questions may be asked. Missing any identity verification questions during the final exam, will cause further access to be terminated. Contact us to reschedule your final exam.

TIME TO COMPLETE & REVIEW YOUR COURSE
After registering for a course you have 730 days to complete the course. You may start and stop the course an unlimited number of times, but to receive credit the course must be completed within this time period.
Some students like to review their courses. You are given an extra 90 days access to your course content after you have completed it. This period begins the day you complete the course.

COURSE EXTENSIONS
If within 180 days, the course is not completed, you may purchase one extension of 60 more days (starting from the course expiration date). Contact Commercial Institute to arrange this extension. A small administrative fee of $25.00 is charged per course to purchase an MCE course extension. All requests for a 60-day extension must be accepted in writing within 60-days of the normal 730 days. The responsibility to contact and request extensions is solely up to the student.
FINAL EXAMS
Once a student has registered for and completed a SAE course, that student must then successfully pass a Final Exam (a minimum passing score of 70% is required). Students have 2 opportunities to pass the Final Exam. If for any reason you are not able to complete the online exam in its entirety or if you fail to pass the exam on the first attempt, then you will need to retake the course. Call Commercial Institute to reset the course for retaking. Unfortunately, if you fail the final exam twice, you will have officially failed the course and no credits will be earned.
After completing all the course lessons and have taken and passed the Final Exam (online), the student must complete two final requirements:
1. We must receive your "Student Course Evaluation.
2. The student is provided instructions on how to submit their course credits to TREC electronically (and immediately).

HOLIDAY SCHEDULE
Our school is available online 24/7. However our offices are officially closed on the following days:
· Memorial Day
· Fourth of July
· Labor Day
· Thanksgiving and the Day After
· Christmas Day
· New Years Day
